The Buzz

The title says it all, its that time of year when all the shows take a break. One Tree Hill and 90210 are gone until January (tear). Gossip Girl still has a few left, thank God!

Last week on Gossip Girl, it was time for the Snowflake Ball. Whenever there is a huge event there is always drama ahead…Jenny found out that Vanessa had been seeing Nate behind her back for awhile and Jenny sabotaged her dress for the dance by making sure it was see through in the right light. Serena had to spend some time with the ex, Aaron’s ex, who seemed to take a liking towards Dan (drama central). Lily decided she was through with Bart and spent the whole night with Rufus, Chuck was watching and decided to give his Dad a heads up. Chuck and Blair, same old, same old, they tried to avoid eachother and ended up being alone at the dance. The end of the episode was a huuuuge cliffhanger, Lily received a phone call from unknown source saying that Bart had an accident…Is he dead? What happened? Tune in tomorrow night to find out!

One Tree Hill won’t be back until January but can we quickly recap last week’s episode? Peyton has cancer!? There is never perfect harmony on that show. Brooke finally got some answers about her attacker, too bad it had to come from Sam her foster child. Lucas met with the producer for his book turned movie who ended up being Dawson (from Dawson’s Creek) on cociane, this should be interesting. I will miss watching this show, January seems too far.

So on a side noe: I gave Grey’s Anatomy a second shot this past week and was so disappointed. Denny is back? C’mon are they that desperate for new material? Lets bring back dead people, ridiculous. Anyone have any thoughts on this one? Alex did tell Izzie he loved her, which was so exciting! Another young person lost their life, shocker, that show is just straight depressing!!

Well t.v. watchers, until next time.

Gossip Girl – Well, it was a repeat this week. But! If you didn’t happen to catch it the week before, here is what happened…

It was the classic Thanksgiving episode. Blair found out a little piece of information from the staff that caused her to stress the entire episode. (Hint: It involved a ring, Cyrus Rose and her mom.) Aaron revealed a bit of his past to Serena that made her nervous to share her past with him. Dan totally tried to sabotage their relationship by giving Aaron a peek into the “old Serena”, thank God he didn’t believe it. Not that it really mattered after Eric found the files that Bart had on each one of his family members and Serena decided to give it to Aaron. In the end, Aaron did not read the file and decided that the Serena he was dating now was what was important to him (So cute!). Lily helped Jenny and Rufus reconcile just in time for thanksgiving dinner, I am so glad she didn’t go through with the emancipation! The episode ended with Blair coming home to find her father had flown in from Europe to spend the holiday with her and she then proceeded to ruin the engagement surprise! (Between Eleanor and Cyrus!) Can’t wait til the new episode tomorrow night! I am having a bit of withdrawal! Also, I am so glad to see that a lot of the girls in class share the love of Gossip Girl!

90210 – Does anyone else find this show to be just as amazing as the original?! It won’t be back with new episodes until January 6th but if you missed it a few weeks ago, here’s the scoop. Annie, Naomi and Dixon are still getting used to the fact that they have a new half brother, Sean. Dixon starts to feel the jealousy as his father and Sean get closer. Annie and Naomi are having a hard time relating ever since Annie and Ethan went public with their relationship. Naomi decides to deal with this by hanging out with a new group of girls who she waits on hand and foot just to fit in. Annie and Naomi have a confrontation in the lunchroom in front of Naomi’s new friends and makes things even worse between them. Silver starts to feel a bit jealous of the recent attention that Dixon has been getting from one of the cheerleaders, Christina. The episode ended with Sean on the phone revealing to the audience that he has ulterior motives. What will happen? We won’t know until January, so stay tuned!

Thats all for tonight t.v. watchers! I will be back later this week with more updates!

Thank God Time Warner Cable finally came to its senses and gave back the most wonderful station in the world, The CW. I was also excited to see that other readers were just as mad that it got taken away as me. So lets see what everyone missed last week….

Gossip Girl – Amazing! The new Jenny is so much more exciting to watch than the old one. Dan & Serena are both beginning to realize the strain on their friendship as they begin to notice and date other people. Like the hot new artist Aaron who hangs out at the gallery. Serena and he were apparently married with licorice rings at summer camp when they were younger, will history repeat itself? Jenny crashed Bart & Lily’s part with a guerilla fashion show, it turned out really great until Rufus tried to have Jenny arrested. Lily came to the rescue and told them she would not be pressing charges. Dan found out about Nate & Jenny’s hook-up, bad news bears. Blair and Chuck are well, Blair and Chuck. Blair is finally realizing her true feelings for Chuck and is having a hard time getting what she wants. Blair also played babysitter in this episode for the dean of Yale’s neice. After a long night of goose chase with the 16 year old, they actually found out they have more in common than they thought. The episode ended with Jenny holding a suitcase walking by herself through the streets of New York. Blair got a follow up call from Yale that pretty much guaranteed her spot in the fall. Nate dropping an envelope addressed to Jenny in a mail-box, wonder what it says, does he really care for her? We will find out on tonight’s episode.

One Tree Hill – Last week episode focused on the past. We finally got to see some flashbacks of what is connecting Peyton to Julian. Nathan’s rival, Jerome, from college basketaball has come back to haunt him in SlamBall. Nathan dominates the game and wipes the floor with Jerome, in a moment of fury Jerome pushes Nathan through the glass. Jamie follows Nathan and after he says he is fine he asks his dad not to play SlamBall anymore. Nathan agrees, its right before the championship but he decides his family is more important to him. Brooke is inspired to start her new collection after finding the trashed wedding dress. Mouth and Gigi reunite and he finds that cheating on Milicent may not be as hard as he thought. Lucas is having a hard time writing the murder scene for his screenplay and even turns to Dan for some advice. Dan tells Lucas “Every story needs a good villian and I’m sorry, but I’m yours.” This line finally gave Lucas the confidence to finish the scene. The episode ended with Lucas running to tell Julian the good news and seeing a picture of him and Peyton together. Shockel, Lucas takes the picture and shows it to Peyton asking her about it. He asked her if they dated when she lived in LA and Peyton responds, “We were in love.” Will Peyton and Lucas be able to get through this? Will Mouth & Milicent be okay? What is going on between Owen and Brooke? Find out on tonight’s episode of One Tree Hill.

More on your other favorite shows next time.

So I am starting to get used to the whole CW being gone thing, I just don’t like it! Its a huge pain to watch the shows on-line, I know I am being a baby but it makes me mad.

Gossip Girl – Was so good last week! A whole lot of blackmailing going on in this episode. Vanessa attempted to blackmail Blair into being a better person with pictures of Catherine and Marcus hooking up. She wanted Blair to get signatures for the landmark she was trying to save, Blair being who she is, decided to take a different route. Blair convinced Chuck to pretend to care about this landmark and eventually seduce Vanessa and then leave her humiliated. Long story short, Chuck ended up actually caring about this landmark as well as Vanessa. He left Blair high and dry in her bedroom when she refused to say the three special words, I love you. Dan and Jenny reached out to Nate when they discovered he had been living in a park because they foreclosed on his house. Nate was reluctant to accept the “charity” at first but the episode ended with all of them at the Humphrey house. Lily and Bart threw a big housewarming party and expected Serena and Eric to behave, well we all know how Serena can be. She was angry with Lily for trying to put rules and limitations on her and in return bad mouthed Lily and Bart in front of the media that was present at the party. The issues were resolved by the end of the episode when the whole family sat down and talked it out. Total bonus, we got to finally see Eric’s boyfriend Jonathan. Tomorrow night’s episode looks so scandalous, can’t wait.

One Tree Hill – Not too much drama has been going on since the murder of Nanny Carrie, which is a total relief. Lucas went on his book tour and was shocked to see that Lindsay wouldn’t be heading it up and that they had sent someone else in her place. Mouth is the only one who showed up to Lucas’ book signing so the rest of his tour was canceled and he returned to Tree Hill. Nathan was given a chance to play basketball again but with a slight twist, its called “Slamball”. It is a much more violent version of basketball and Nathan questions whether it would effect his health. Brooke is looking after Sam, the stealing, troubled student in Haley’s class. Jamie has been getting bullied at school so Nathan showed up and showed the other kids how cool it is to wear a cape when your playing basketball. Tree Hill is finally starting to go back to normal so that must mean some drama is brewing, only time will tell.

The Office – Michael threw a baby shower at the office for Jan and its not even his baby. Michael has been very concerned with the birthing of the baby and is shocked to find that Jan showed up to his shower with the already born baby. The episode was of course, extremely awkward, which I love. Pam and Jim are discovering how hard a long distance relationship can be. Michael and Holly decide to go out at the end of the episode, finally, they are so weird and perfect for each other. I haven’t watched this past week’s episode yet but when I do I will update you guys on what happened!

Thats all the shows for today but I will try to update Tuesday after Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill!!

So there has been a tragedy in the television viewers’ world. Time Warner Cable has pulled the CW from their regular line-up. The CW contains 4 of the shows my house mates and I watch every week! Its been rough so far. Thankfully they ran re-runs of everything last week but tomorrow is Monday and Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill are new episodes. Its sad but my whole house will be lost.

I wanted to use this post to inform everyone as to why we no longer have The CW or CBS (Channel 4) available. Apparently The CW and CBS want Time Warner Cable to pay them to carry their stations. The problem Time Warner is having with this is that these two stations are available to people with antennas for free. They don’t their customers to have to pay for something they could receive for no cost. I suppose I agree with this I just wish it weren’t this particular station.

I might be going out on a whim here but is this issue upsetting anyone else?

These last few weeks have been some of the hottest for TV watchers. All of our favorites are back and they are good! Let’s recap!

Gossip Girl – Monday’s episode was amazing! Serena and Dan had to face each other at school, can you say awkward?! Dan is falling for Amanda, the new girl at school, they probably would have been a cute couple if Blair’s posse hadn’t gotten into the middle of it. Serena is resuming her position as queen once again and seems to be enjoying it. Jenny is having a hard time fitting in at school and just wants to be at work all the time. Catherine’s secret came out, guess her and Marcus are a lot closer than everyone thought? Vanessa and Nate had a big blowout and they are done for good, or at least thats what it seems. Rufus decided that he and Lily can’t be friends now that she has chosen Bart. Another drama filled episode, just the way we like it.

One Tree Hill – I feel like even though there has only been a few episodes this has been the most dramatic season ever! I love it though! This week the sadness continued from the death of Quentin Fields, he changed a lot of people in Tree Hill. The basketball team is choosing to play with four guys for the rest of the season, so that one spot is open for Quentin. Haley is the first to realize that Dan is missing and contacts the hospital only to find that he never called for the replacement heart. Did Nanny Carrie really kill him? I guess we will have to wait and see. Lucas and Peyton decided to move in together. Nick Wolf, Peyton’s idol, has decided to stop in Tree Hill for a while, could he really be Peyton’s father? Brooke finally gave in and went to see a therapist and decided to confront her mother, with a gun in hand. Nothing happened, but it seemed as though it wouldn’t be hard for Brooke to pull that trigger. Nanny Carrie just won’t quit, somehow she got into the Scott’s home and creepily walked around Jamie’s room. If she kidnaps him next week, there will be a lot of angry viewers!

Grey’s Anatomy – Its back!! Hopefully this season will fair better than last. The season kicked off with a dramatic 2 hour opener, huge car crash, 3 wives, 3 husbands and a limo driver. Cristina was impaled by a giant icicle and the new Dr. Mchotty fixed her up only to be followed with a make out session. I hope his character sticks around, we need some new faces. Meredith and Derek seem to be doing well, for now. Although she keeps having these dream in which Derek dies, let’s hope nothing happens! George and Lexie are still roomates but it seems that Lexie wants it to be more than that. Izzie and Alex are so confusing, one minute they are friends, the next they are hooking up and the next they hate eachother. So frustrating, just kiss and make-up already! The next episode looks amazing, too bad we have to wait 2 weeks!

The Office – Thank God its back! This is one of my most favorite shows! Pam left Scranton for design school in NYC. Its weird not seeing her sitting behind the receptionist desk, Jim looked sad everytime he glanced over. But thats okay because THEY GOT ENGAGED! Finally, Jim proposed outside a rest stop, we all have been waiting so long for this! Angela doesn’t seem to be to into her engagement with Andy because her and Dwight seem to be spending a lot of time together in the warehouse. I just wish they would get together already! Michael is well, Michael. A very pregnant Jan stopped by the office, I wonder if its going to be Michael’s baby. This season is going to be a good one! Stay tuned!

I’ll update with more shows soon!! Thank God for DVR!
